Safiye Sultan is a 2nd year medical student in Ala-Too international university of Kyrgyzstan. It’s not her first time being and living in Central Asia- with that information, you got a little sneak peek to her complicated life story; She was born in Uzbekistan, Lived in the countries like Russian, Africa and lastly Iraq with at least five years in each of them. Her nationality is Turkish though. After her first year of passiveness in Medical faculty, adapting both to department and the country, she is now on duty of being a Vice President of SympC team and a member of other research clubs organized by medical students of Ala-Too University.
“I had doubts, concerns and fear before coming to Kyrgyzstan. But thanks to my friends and professors whom I see as a second family, for always helping out to each other as much as they can no matter what. With them, I sometimes do forget the difficulty of studying medicine.”
